What is TDX Global Source?
TDX Global Source is a sales office and brokerage for chemical raw materials serving formulators, industrial plants and chemical distributors in Latin America. We sell the raw materials of international trading companies and of producers from China, India, Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, the Middle East and Egypt, with more than 25 years of experience and headquarters in Argentina.
Who do you sell to?
To formulators, industrial plants and chemical distributors in Latin America, who buy the raw materials of the trading companies and producers we represent through direct import from origin.
Do you work with producers or with traders?
Both. We are the Latin American sales office of international trading companies and of producers, and we sell their raw materials. Trading companies pool demand from their customers worldwide; our customers in Latin America join that volume, which makes competitive prices possible. We represent producers directly as their sales office in the region. In every quote we propose the option that works best for your product and volume.
Who pays TDX’s commission?
The trading companies and producers we represent: they pay for our commercial work. Our customers get direct-import prices from origin, with no local intermediary margins.
Where do the products come from?
From China, India, Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, the Middle East and Egypt. They are raw materials from international trading companies and from producers we represent; customers import directly from origin, without a local distributor’s margin.
Which industries do you serve?
Inks and paints, plastics, oil, gas and mining (drilling), food (food grade), adhesives, water treatment, home care and cleaning, rubber, pharmaceuticals, tanneries, aquaculture and fishing, and agrochemicals and fertilizers.
Which product families do you handle?
We work with all kinds of chemical raw materials. If a product is not on our lists, we research it and look for new producers and trading companies that manufacture or sell it, so we can quote it for you.
Can you source products that are not on your lists?
Yes, it is one of our strengths. Our team at origin does the research: based on your technical specification, it searches for, evaluates and develops products and new suppliers — producers and trading companies — that you cannot find in your local market today. Send us the technical name or CAS number, the technical data sheet if you have it, volume and destination, and we will quote it.
Which countries do you operate in?
We work across Latin America, except Brazil: from our base in Argentina we serve Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Mexico and Central America, among others.
How do I request a quote?
Email us at [email protected] with 2 or 3 products you buy regularly (technical name or CAS number if you have it, approximate volume and destination). We will prepare a comparative quote.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We arrange financing terms for each operation with the trading companies and producers we represent, depending on the supplier and the operation.
What is the typical volume?
We handle all kinds of volumes throughout Latin America: from consolidated loads (LCL) to full containers (FCL), in one-off or recurring operations. On the customer side, purchasing, plant management, the technical director or, in SMEs, the owner are usually involved.
Is TDX a distributor?
No. TDX is the Latin American sales office of international trading companies and producers: it sells their raw materials, which the customer imports directly from origin. Our customers also include chemical distributors. The exception is occasional operations with locally available goods.
